Apple cuts foldable iPhone numbers, but still might outsell Samsung

Apple reportedly cut its initial foldable iPhone shipment forecast from 10 million units to 3 million.

Samsung Display is said to be the exclusive panel supplier for at least three years, giving it strong leverage.

Even at 3 million units, Apple’s first foldable could still rival or beat Samsung’s own foldable sales on a generation-by-generation basis.

Launch timing is still unclear, with rumors pointing to either 2026 or 2027.
