Android 16 April update rolling out: Pixel UI, app crash fixes

Google is rolling out the Android 16 QPR3 April 2026 security update to Pixel phones and tablets across several generations.

The patch fixes five Android security issues, including high- and critical-severity vulnerabilities.

It also addresses usability and stability bugs such as missing backup settings, app crashes, game crashes, and a missing home screen search bar.

Quick Share transfer crashes are also fixed on supported Pixel devices, including the Pixel 6 through Pixel 10, Pixel Tablet, and Pixel Fold.
