Your LinkedIn session might not be as private as you think

An investigation called BrowserGate found hidden JavaScript on LinkedIn that scans users' browsers for installed Chrome extensions.

Independent testing by BleepingComputer showed LinkedIn also collects device data such as CPU, memory, screen resolution, language, and battery status.

The extension and device data can be linked to real LinkedIn profiles, and the scans run silently without explicit user consent.
