Meet ZAYA1-8B, a super efficient open reasoning model trained on AMD Instinct MI300 GPUs

Zyphra released ZAYA1-8B, an 8B-parameter open reasoning model with 760M active parameters.

The Apache 2.0 model is reported to perform competitively with much larger systems on benchmarks.

It was trained on AMD Instinct MI300 GPUs, showing strong results without relying on Nvidia-only training stacks.

ZAYA1-8B is available on Hugging Face and through Zyphra Cloud for enterprise use.
