AMD's Helios rack is finally shipping, and it's coming for Nvidia's AI dominance

AMD says its Helios AI rack will start shipping later this quarter, marking a bigger push into AI infrastructure.

The rack combines new 6th-gen Epyc CPUs, Instinct MI455X GPUs, and Pensando networking chips.

AMD also rolled out ROCm.ai software updates and expanded support from customers and partners including Cerebras, Anthropic, OpenAI, Meta, and AT&T.

The launch gives AMD a more complete alternative to Nvidia’s AI stack and could help buyers diversify suppliers.
