Video: World’s largest 12,566-pound eVTOL completes 3-aircraft formation flight

AutoFlight completed the first heterogeneous three-aircraft formation flight in its eVTOL family, pairing the V5000 Matrix with two V2000-series aircraft.

The test evaluated route planning, communications, timing, spacing, and safety systems for coordinated operations.

The V5000 Matrix also recently completed a full transition flight, another key technical milestone.

AutoFlight has started certification work in China for its hybrid cargo version, advancing toward commercial service.
