User Reports Artifacts And Crashes With NVIDIA RTX 4090; Inno3D Reportedly Advised Him To Replace Thermal Paste Instead Of RMA

User report reported GPU displaying black artifacts and freezing under load, reddit user reported black screen artifacts and system freezes with an Inno3d GeForce RTX 4090 iChill after two years of use.

System behavior experienced unexpected crashes and system freezes despite no overclocking and updated drivers, user said GPU crashes and sometimes requires force-reboot; no overclocking and drivers were up to date.

Inno3d support advised the user to request RMA through the retailer, user contacted Inno3d seeking an RMA and was initially told to apply through the retailer.

Warranty status had retailer warranty expired but retained one year of warranty from Inno3d, user stated he still had one year of warranty remaining with Inno3d but retailer warranty had expired.

Inno3d support advised the user to open the graphics card and replace the thermal paste, user reports Inno3d later suggested he open the card and replace the GPU thermal paste himself.
